PhD Project Title: Exploring epigenetic reprogramming in barley impacted by fungal disease
PhD Project Summary: I’m interesting in developing the knowledge in genetics and epigenetic regulation of disease dynamics in Pyrenophora pathogens and cereal crops. Understanding the complex fungal and plant genetics has always been intriguing from the start of my research career, and it’s exciting to uncover novel virulence that emerges in pathogen populations and overcomes innate crop resistance. This also contributes knowledge to pathogenicity mechanisms and immunity pathways in fungal pathogens and cereal crops respectively, as a whole.
