Biography

Dr Ulduz Vafadarshamasbi is a geneticist specializing in genomics, bioinformatics, and statistics, with a focus on data driven plant and agricultural research. Her expertise spans epigenomics, genome annotation, and multi omics data integration using statistical and bioinformatics approaches. She began her career studying plant population structure using DNA markers and, during her PhD at the University of Queensland, investigated the role of epigenetics as a foundational driver of phenotypic expression. She has also worked as a visiting research scientist at CSIRO on functional annotation of yeast gene families and is currently a Research Fellow at Curtin University’s Centre for Crop and Disease Management, applying advanced analytics to support agricultural research excellence.
