Dr. Sandra Tanz is a passionate and diligent Data Analyst and Plant Molecular Biologist with over ten years work experience in managing complex, data-driven research projects. As a former Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia and a key contributor at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Plant Energy Biology, Sandra specialised in the subcellular localization of proteins in plants and RNA-sequencing. Additionally, she has worked extensively in the field of C4 photosynthesis during her PhD and later during her DECRA.
Her career has focused on exploring how information is encoded and transferred in both the genetic and digital systems, and on uncovering the complex patterns that arise from these processes. She is skilled in analysing large-scale biological datasets and applying machine learning approaches. With expertise in statistical analysis, bioinformatics, and data visualisation, Sandra integrates biological sciences with data science, making her a valuable contributor to interdisciplinary research and applied analytics.
