Rahmat is an Agricultural Scientist specialising in crop protection and plant pathology. She holds a master’s degree in Dryland Agricultural Systems from Curtin University and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agriculture and Food Science at the Centre for Crop and Disease Management (CCDM).
PhD Project Title: Advancement in Detection and Management of Fungicide Resistance in Grape Powdery Mildew (Erysiphe necator) through Nanoparticle-Based Technology.
Summary: The overall aim of Rahmat's project is to develop rapid, field-applicable nanoparticle-based tools for detecting resistance-associated mutations in (Erysiphe necator) and to design smart fungicide delivery systems that target fungal mitochondria with high precision.
