Biography

I am currently a PhD student conducting research on Rhizoctonia root rot infection in wheat. My project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Rhizoctonia’s interactions with wheat by integrating various analytical techniques with investigations into the infection process.

Before joining Curtin University, I completed a Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Genetics, as well as a Master of Biotechnology with a specialization in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, both at the University of Western Australia. My Master’s thesis focused on the expression of alternative oxidase in leaves of C3, C2, and C4 Neurachne species, under the supervision of Prof Martha Ludwig and Assoc. Prof Mark Waters.

PhD Project Title: Molecular and phenotypic characterisation of Rhizoctonia in wheat
Supervisors: Dr Fatima Naim and Prof Mark Gibberd
