Leni is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the Analytics for the Australian Grains Industry (AAGI) at the Centre for Crop and Disease Management (CCDM) at Curtin University. Her work applies data-driven and computational approaches to support research addressing key challenges in Australian grain production.
Leni completed her PhD at the University of Western Australia, where she investigated the post-transcriptional regulation of chloroplast genes, focusing on regulatory elements associated with Pentatricopeptide Repeat (PPR) proteins. Her research integrated large-scale sequencing data analysis with bioinformatic and machine learning approaches to improve understanding of gene regulation and support advances in plant genetic engineering.
Leni brings a strong cross-disciplinary background spanning molecular biology, genomics, and applied agricultural research. She remains committed to advancing agricultural science through innovative data-driven approaches and delivering meaningful outcomes for the grains industry.
