Dr. Irina Kuznetsova has a background in the analysis of various biomedical datasets and is now bringing her expertise to the field of plant research. She has an impressive background in transcriptomic and single-cell sequencing data analysis in the biomedical field, and software development for scientific research. She completed her M.Sc. in Bioinformatics at the University of Tampere, Finland, and her Ph.D. at the University of Western Australia, contributing to advancing our understanding of mitochondrial dysfunction and its role in various diseases.
Irina is now applying her extensive expertise to the study of plant systems, leveraging her skills in data analysis and visualisation to uncover new insights into plant biology. Her work aims to advance sustainable agricultural practices and improve crop resilience through a deep understanding of plant genomics.
