Biography

Julia has an extensive background in research management, and since obtaining her PhD in 2004 has built up a large network of researchers, farmers and industry professionals across Australia. As CCDM’s Development Manager for Research Innovation, Julia helps to strengthen links with stakeholders and create enduring partnerships and co-investment opportunities.

Since joining CCDM in 2019, Julia initiated the Curtin for Agribusiness Profitability (C4AP) Initiative, a demand-driven research group working with agribusinesses and their advisors to deliver next generation agribusiness research to underpin future farm profitability and sustainability. Her research in this area has focused on the translation of demand-driven research and development into industry practice change, particularly in data analytics, ensuring research outcomes make a real difference to Australian agriculture.
